Data is everywhere, and is always stored with metadata. But the discussions involving metadata and data are usually about what it means. SInce data and metadata come in pairs, and they can be chained, it is easy to lose track of the relevant pairs. This cartoon is an illustration how language can be used to start at one thing, and completely sidetrack it. In the end, none of it is real, and yet our personal world is build with the verbal stuff.
