Summary0004288: (De)Generalize function
DescriptionCreating a generalization from various selected object types would be a simple function. If related fact types are also selected, and they are reconnected to the generalization would be an awesome feature. Being able to de-generalize an already made generalization would be even more awesome.
Steps To ReproduceEmployee(empId) and Patient(PatientNo) could come together in the generalization of Person with related fact types Person Firstname and Person Surname.

Being able to de-generalize would look very much like split/duplicate functions.

If this function exists, it could be repurposed when GLR is run on the Generalized Object Type which may have 'Force Reduce' turned On. Which would need to be denormalized before reducing can start.

Automated de-generalization will be performed during transformation when the following conditions are met:
  1. GLR Reduce is turned on
  2. The generalized object type is set to 'Reduce: De-Generalize'.
