Drag an OTFT into a new diagram requires a new diagram to be created first. How about dragging it onto an empty space where there's not Tab open, to create a diagram on the fly?
Drag and drop used to work while hovering over the tabs for the files to activate them, so users could drop the content. This has been extended by dragging it next to the last tab to autocreate a new diagram when dropping the otft.
