Once an expression is merged, and deleted from the target model, the expression will not reappear on the next merge. Even when overwrite details is turned on, the older expression are not longer appearing.
The code behaved as planned, but did not foresee the wrongful deletion of the expression in question. So the conditions have extended for this scenario.
