Summary | 0004770: UML generation applies -down-, -left-, -right- and -up- attributes to relationships unnecessarily
Description | UML generation applies -down-, -left-, -right- and -up- attributes to relationships unnecessarily, creating a much more compact (and totally unreadable) diagram. Replacing the directives on the arrows in the PlantUML source with just straight arrows creates a much better lay-out. If possible I'd like to have the option to do this somehow. If all these tabs are basically "apply a template to the OTFTs and give it to plantUML", perhaps we could just select the template to use? Also, adding a stylesheet to the PlantUML code would be a nice-to-have. But I can do that in seconds with copy/paste so no biggy.
Steps To Reproduce | Create a large UML diagram. Open tab for UML Replace arrows with -- and -->, and see that PlantUML basically creates a good lay-out.

Diagram styles now added a new setting to preserve positioning or not. When checked, the orientations between elements are applied, if unchecked the distance between elements is applied.
