Summary | 0004406: Matching does not always work very well
Description | When classifying expressions, at some moments, the 'matching' option appears. After choosing a Fact Expression to match the current expression, a screen appears with 'Multiple matches found'. Here, matching will fail often, due to limited available functionality. The problem with this is that then, a duplicate Fact sentence will be created, while there already was an accurate match. Moreover, it often requires additional manual action, without any result. Adding an option for manually selecting the part to be matched, apart from the 'Extend' button, would solve the issue.
Additional Information | An example is added under images: - input expression 'Samengevat beschrijft DPIA dpia02 ....' - to-be-matched expression: 'samengevat.beschrijft.<DPIA>.<beschrijving>' (which is correct) - the UI tries to match <DPIA>, but ends up selecting only 'P'. Using the available functionality, 'Extend', the selection can only be extended to 'PIA'. - this results in match-failure: "Could not match automatically. Switching to manual mode.", after which the expression screen jumps back to start. - classification is restarted as usual, creating a new, duplicate fact expression and having to re-do the classification-process.
