Summary | 0003978: Generate table with data event storage
Description | Tables allow data to be stored as is. It may be extended with a history table or temporal support, but it lacks the so called Data Event. The Data Event is typically application purpose storage to register state changes. This is not entirely different from bitemporal data, with one exception: The Data Event may store additional information explaining why the state change occurred. This may prompt the modeler to include also a reason for both users or machines to explain why the data ends up in the new state. But database generators may also choose to extend the base table with a bitemporal table, and extend it even with a 'reason' and 'author' etc.
