Custom attributes can be declared of the type URI. For this to effectively work, an embedded browser would be helpful. This way the surce can be navigated, and a dialog would have to pick up the URI where the user navigated to.
If Edge is installed, the ellipses buttons for custom attributes (defined as URI) will open a browser to navigate to it, or alter the path to update the custom attribute value.
