License keys

The following steps are followed to find the license key for your installation.

• Check your roaming profile folder for the file casetalk.key.
• If the application is started in portable mode it'll search for the local {appdata} folder for a default key file.
• If still not found, it attempts to use a key file from the folder where casetalk.exe itself resided.
• If that file does not reside there either, it'll check the Windows registry for an old license.

If all the above fail, or the found license is invalid, a new license will be requested and projects and models will remain readonly until it is provided.

• Once a valid license is found or entered, it'll be permanently stored in your roaming profile folders for future use.
