License keys

The following steps are followed to find the license key for your installation.

Check your roaming profile folder for the file casetalk.key.
If the application is started in portable mode it'll search for the local {appdata} folder for a default key file.
If still not found, it attempts to use a key file from the folder where casetalk.exe itself resides.
If that file does not exist either, it'll check the Windows registry for an old license.

If all the above fail, or the found license is invalid, a new license will be requested. The newly entered license can be stored in two locations:

Your roaming profile folder
Your {appdata} folder if started as a portable app, and not also a readonly of shared folder.
