Customization

In CaseTalk there are a few options to customize the tool.

Custom Attributes

Using custom annotation definitions, users can document various data with all elements of the information model. The data can be configured to be dates, numbers, strings, URIs or even a list of options to choose from. In addition to simple data values, memos may also be configured. This metadata in the model, can be imported and exported using Business Glossaries. Custom Attributes

Custom Rules

The model well-formedness rules are preconfigured. The existing rules may be disabled/enabled per project or in its entirety. Once users are familiar with the Data Explorer to query the internal repository they may even formulate their own model well-formedness rules in SQL, to help them validate for situations which are not yet checked, or are very custom to their own needs. Diagram Styles

Diagrams come out of the box, but still certain elements may be better viewed using a specific color or font, be in the diagram or not. All these graphical settings may be configured using diagram styles. Per diagram, a quick switch to a pre-configured style, will update the diagram instantly. Diagram Style

Transformation Profiles

Model transformations come with a wide range of settings which affect the algorithms. These settings may me be preconfigured in so-called profiles. This allows for a quick change of settings for a specific output of a specific artifact. Transformation Settings

The online services help integrate new functions in CaseTalk. Currently notifying other members in your team can be done by configuring Ntfy or MsTeams. Translation service DeepL is made available to manage dictionaries more easily. And Various LLMs can be configured to augment the information model, or ask for a response in text based areas of CaseTalk.
